Astrid van den Brandt, PhD
Biography
Research Fellow in Biomedical Informatics
Astrid is a postdoctoral fellow in the HIDIVE lab. She received her PhD from Eindhoven University of Technology in the Netherlands in 2025. Her doctoral research, conducted in collaboration with Wageningen University & Research, focused on developing interactive visualizations for exploring pangenome data. She was previously a visiting graduate student at the HIDIVE lab. Her postdoctoral work involves designing novel methods and investigating domain experts’ needs in visualization construction and exploration of genomics data.
